Mr Philip Sayeg has thirty years experience in transport planning and related management. He has advised senior public officials in Australia and Asia and has lived and worked in Asia, the Pacific and Africa (17 countries). Philip is the Asia-Pacific correspondent for UK magazine Traffic Technology International, which was awarded the International Business Magazine of the Year in 2000. He currently works part-time with the World Bank in several Asian countries and advises other international clients.
Professor Philip Charles is the Director, Centre for Transport Strategy, The University of Queensland. He has thirty years experience in transport strategy, development and policy initiatives within Australia and internationally including infrastructure development and management, intelligent transport systems and road safety, traffic and incident management, strategic analysis and futures scanning, institutional strengthening, professional capability development and business planning, including market assessment for new transport technologies.
They both wrote the handbook on Intelligent Transport Systems for ITS Australia, published in 2003 and edit ITS quarterly Members' Information Pack and were the founding editors of Smart Urban Transport, a publication specialising in transport policy, technology and related business issues in the Asia–Pacific region. They are also currently contributing to the development of the first ITS Strategy for Bangkok.
In conjunction with the Chairman and members of the Advisory Committee the authors will be instrumental in directing the editorial to ensure that the final manuscript reflects the desired outcomes of government and industry.

These roles have resulted in Peter maintaining close contact with the international automotive industry over more than two decades, from a standpoint of manufacturing, safety and pollution management.
As a director of Air Quality Technologies Pty Ltd, he now focuses on technical innovation in vehicle emissions measurement, in addition to providing consulting services to a number of Australian and overseas government and private sector bodies.
Professor Luis Ferreira
Professor in Transport at the Queensland University of Technology, Luis has held the Chair in Transport sponsored jointly by Queensland Transport and Main Roads since 2000. He has worked for 25 years in technical and managerial roles covering freight and passenger transport planning, research, management and consultancy.
Luis has a strong multi-modal background having been involved in road and rail freight project planning, evaluation and operations. Having managed a freight rail planning unit, Luis initiated a career in consultancy and research with a strong focus on freight and logistics and rail freight in particular. He is Research Theme Leader within the Australian Co-operative Research Centre for Railway Engineering.
Luis has also been closely involved with performance measurement at strategic and tactical levels for both passenger and freight, including projects related to the performance of intermodal terminals and freight performance data needs. Luis has an extensive and distinguished publications record in international journals and conferences.

David is an ITS expert with major knowledge in computing and communications and real time info systems.
